The synth hook hits, the arena chorus kicks in, and suddenly you’re back in a decade when every song felt like it was built for a packed room and a communal singalong. Kids In America brings that energy to the Starbright Theatre on Saturday, June 27, 2026, with a night of live 80s covers that span pop anthems, hair metal riffs, new wave hooks, and hip hop breaks.
This is the kind of show where you hear the opening notes and immediately know you’re in for something tight, vivid, and unapologetically fun. The setlist moves fast, the band plays everything live with no backing tracks, and the room turns into the kind of Saturday night the decade was designed for.

About Kids In America
Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.
What You Will Hear
Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Livin’ on a Prayer” next to “Push It,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine” next to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Don’t Stop Believin'” beside “Billie Jean,” “Come On Eileen” followed by “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and “Take On Me” sharing space with “Bust a Move.” The setlist pulls from the full decade, moving between Whitney Houston’s vocal runs, Bon Jovi’s power chords, Michael Jackson’s grooves, and the synth-driven urgency of Duran Duran and The Human League.
The band covers the songs that defined car radios, MTV countdowns, and late-night dance floors, and they play them the way they were meant to be heard: live, loud, and surrounded by people who know every word.
