80s Cover Band in Jamestown, NC – April 10, 2026

If you grew up singing along to Journey in the car or dancing to Madonna at prom, you already know what makes an 80s cover band worth leaving the house for. Kids In America brings that decade back with six musicians who know how a synth hook is supposed to land and what a hair metal chorus should feel like in a live room. They’re playing The Deck in Jamestown on Friday, April 10th, and the show starts at 7pm.

This is the kind of night where you hear the opening notes of a song and immediately know every word. Kids In America plays pop, new wave, hair metal, hip hop, and dance with the accuracy that comes from playing over a thousand shows together. Everything is live, no backing tracks, and the energy stays high from the first song to the last.

About Kids In America

Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.

What You Will Hear

Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Don’t Stop Believin'” rolling into “Livin’ on a Prayer,” or “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” followed by “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Kids In America pulls from the full span of the decade, so you could get “Billie Jean,” “Take On Me,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Push It,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” or “Come On Eileen” depending on the night. The setlist shifts, but the goal stays the same: songs you know by heart, played the way they were meant to sound.
