80s Cover Band in Concord, NC – February 20, 2026

If you grew up pressing rewind on a cassette deck or claiming prime real estate on a dance floor lit by neon, you know what a six-piece band playing the decade live—no backing tracks, no shortcuts—can do to a Friday night. Kids In America is bringing that exact energy to Gibson Mill Market on February 20, and the show starts at 7pm.

This is the kind of night where the synth hook from “Take On Me” hits just as hard as the arena chorus in “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and every song lands because the band playing it has logged over a thousand shows in just over a decade. You’re not watching a nostalgia act. You’re watching musicians who treat the 80s like a language they speak fluently.

About Kids In America

Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.

What You Will Hear

Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Billie Jean,” “Push It,” “Rebel Yell,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” or “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” The setlist pulls from pop anthems, hair metal choruses, new wave hooks, hip hop energy, and dance floor staples, all delivered with the tightness that comes from a band that’s been doing this for over a decade. If it made the 80s feel bigger than life, it’s in the rotation.
