80s Cover Band in Boise, ID – May 13, 2026

Downtown Boise is getting a full-on 80s takeover this spring. On Wednesday, May 13, Kids In America brings one of the most complete tribute band sets on the road to the Boise Centre, a sleek convention and event space right in the heart of Idaho’s capital. If you grew up with synth hooks, arena choruses, and MTV on in the background, this is the show your May calendar has been waiting for.

Boise doesn’t always get a night like this on a Wednesday, which makes it worth noting. Kids In America performs across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and beyond, and when they land somewhere new, the set hits hard. Six musicians, no backing tracks, sixty-plus songs deep in the catalog. The crowd tends to get loud by the second song and stays that way.

About Kids In America

Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.

What You Will Hear

Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Don’t Stop Believin'” give way to “Livin’ on a Prayer,” or a Cyndi Lauper run that bleeds straight into Bon Jovi. The catalog spans everything from Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” and Van Halen’s “Jump” to Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” The band also digs into the weirder, more fun corners of the decade with tracks like “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Love Shack,” and “It’s Tricky” by Run D.M.C. The range is the point.
