About Kids In America

Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.

What You Will Hear

Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Take On Me,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Billie Jean,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” and “Footloose.” The setlist reaches across the decade, pulling from hair metal power chords, Prince funk, Madonna pop, and new wave synth lines. If it lit up MTV or filled an arena between 1980 and 1989, there’s a strong chance it shows up.

About the Venue

Cauble Park is a 25-acre lakefront venue on the north side of Lake Acworth, with a boardwalk, beach area, open greenspace, and reservable facilities including pavilions and a lakeside gazebo. The park has restrooms, playgrounds, a boating ramp for electric-motor boats, and fishing points. It’s a well-established hub for large public gatherings, hosting recurring events like the Special Olympics Polar Plunge in February and the annual Fourth of July Fireworks celebration. Park hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Plan Your Night

Bring a blanket or a low chair, arrive early to claim a spot near the stage or closer to the water, and plan to stay through the fireworks. The combination of live 80s covers and a lakefront setting on the Fourth makes for the kind of summer night that sticks.
