If you’re staying at Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach this spring, mark your calendar for an 8pm performance that turns the courtyard into a full-blown 80s dance party. Kids In America is bringing their six-piece tribute show to the resort on Sunday, May 24th, with a setlist that pulls from every corner of the decade—synth-pop hooks, arena rock anthems, and the kind of singalongs that made cassette tapes worth rewinding.
This is the kind of night where you hear Whitney Houston followed by Guns N’ Roses, where the energy shifts from new wave to hair metal without missing a beat. The band plays everything live, and the courtyard setup keeps it intimate enough to feel like you’re part of the show rather than just watching one.

About Kids In America
Kids In America is a six-piece 80s cover band built on years of live experience and a shared commitment to recreating the decade exactly as it sounded. Shannon Remley and Ray Hartsfield handle female and male lead vocals. Shannon’s powerhouse vocals and energy along with Ray’s charisma and showmanship make for the ultimate male-female lead vocal combo upfront. Roey Haviv plays bass guitar and bass synth, GK Via covers lead guitar and lead and background vocals, Rob Bowser on keyboards and synths, and Mike Graci handles drums and electronic percussion. This 6 piece very talented band plays everything live with no tracks, covering pop, hair metal, new wave, hip hop and dance with the kind of precision and accuracy that comes from over a thousand shows for just over a decade.
What You Will Hear
Expect the kind of night where you might hear “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Take On Me,” “Billie Jean,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Love Shack,” and “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” The setlist spans the full decade, moving from dance-floor staples to power ballads to the guitar-driven anthems that defined 80s rock radio. If you grew up rewinding mixtapes or singing into a hairbrush, this show covers the songs that made those moments happen.
